GLPI (Free IT and asset management software) version 0.83RC3 is available. RPM are available in remi-test repository for Fedora ≥ 15 and EL ≥ 5

This is not yet a stable version, so not ready for production, so, version 0.80 stay available in remi repository.

GLPI (Free IT and asset management software) version 0.80.2 is available. Read the announces : 0.80, 0.80.1 and 0.80.2. RPM are available in the remi-test repository.

This new major version is an ITIL evolution with SLA (among other new features).

The version 0.78.x stays in remi.
Version 0.80.x is now stable, but all the plugins are not yet available. This new version will go to the stable repository when all compatible plugins will be published.

This plugin, formerly known as Tracker, allow to manage FusionInventory agents installed on the computer of the network and to use the Network Discovery and SNMP Query features, among others.

I have just written a small plugin for yum to ask the running agent to send an inventory when a yum operation finish.

RPM is available in the remi repository for fedora >= 12 and Enterprise Linux >= 4.

This feature is registered on upstream project : Feature #530
Installation

The RPM of the new version of the inventory agent from FusionInventory is available in remi repository for fedora and Enterprise Linux (Redhat, Centos, Oracle, Scientific Linux...).

This fork of the unified agent ocsinventory-agent (by the main developer) still absolutely compatible with the OCS Inventory NG server.

As always for installtion:
yum --enablerepo=remi install fusioninventory-agentFor configuration of the cron task or service, edit the file: /etc/sysconfig/fusioninventory-agent (comments should be enough for explanation)
In this new RPM version, the cron mode (which is enough for inventory) and the daemon mode (mandatory for next features) are... Lire fusioninventory-agent-2.1
